Adam Thomas, the 37-year-old former Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star, has revealed his next career move following a tumultuous experience on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! all-stars edition. Despite winning the series, his time in the jungle was overshadowed by a bullying scandal involving David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, both of whom denied the allegations.
Bullying Scandal and Aftermath
During the show, Adam clashed with former footballer Jimmy Bullard during a Bushtucker trial, and later faced accusations from boxer David Haye of faking his psoriatic arthritis to avoid challenges. The tension escalated during the live final, resulting in a heated confrontation. Since then, Adam has struggled with the fallout, describing it as reaching 'the lowest of lows.'
New Venture: Oh My Glaze Hot Sauce
Adam has now channeled his energy into the relaunch of Oh My Glaze, a hot sauce brand he founded in 2020 with his brothers Ryan and Scott Thomas. The brand, which originally started as a restaurant concept, was dissolved earlier this month. However, Adam is determined to make it succeed, stating: 'Just three friends trying to take over the sauce market, one sauce at a time.'
An insider told The Sun: 'Adam reached the lowest of lows over what happened in the jungle. He’s a long way away from ever wanting to put himself back into the reality TV circus again, but he’s got his confidence back and he’s looking forward to future projects.' The source added that Adam is 'excited and passionate' about the brand, which focuses on using real ingredients instead of ultra-processed rubbish.
Previous Business Ventures
This is not Adam's first foray into the food industry. He previously opened The Spinn in Manchester in 2019, but it closed three years later after accumulating £300,000 in debt during the Covid pandemic. Despite this setback, Adam remains optimistic about Oh My Glaze.
Reflections on I'm A Celebrity
Earlier this month, Adam spoke about feeling 'exploited' by the show's dramatic finale. On his podcast, he said: 'I just felt like I’d just been exploited and I think you can see it at the end of the live show.' His twin brother Scott added: 'All those campmates were pissed off at ITV. It wasn’t your issue. It is ITV’s issue.' Adam stated that not even £10,000,000 could convince him to repeat the ordeal, adding: 'Nothing is worth what I went through in there.'
