June 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting month for gamers, with a mix of major franchises returning, indie gems, and remakes of classic titles. While the month is traditionally quieter due to major gaming showcases like Summer Game Fest and Nintendo Direct, there are still plenty of releases to look forward to. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2)
Following the ports of Final Fantasy 7 Remake in January, the sequel arrives on Xbox and Switch 2 on June 3. The Switch 2 version is particularly impressive, featuring a dense open world. This sets the stage for the third and final part of the trilogy, which could be announced as early as 2027.
The 7th Guest Remake (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC)
This spooky puzzle game, originally known for its revolutionary visuals and live-action footage, gets a remake on June 4. The remake retains live-action actors but overhauls graphics. Developed by Vertigo Games, it promises a haunting mansion exploration experience.
Gothic 1 Remake (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC)
After a playable teaser in 2019, the full remake of the 2001 classic arrives on June 5. The action RPG, popular in Europe, is being handled by Spanish studio Alkimia Interactive, as original developer Piranha Bytes shut down in 2024.
Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes Vs. Villains (Multiplatform)
Launching June 11, this Star Wars-themed Monopoly game features 28 playable characters with special abilities and team options. It is the second Star Wars Monopoly video game, following a 1997 PC exclusive.
Denshattack! (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC)
Revealed at Gamescom 2025, this indie game offers high-speed train racing with tricks and drifting, inspired by Jet Set Radio and anime aesthetics. A demo is available on Switch 2 and PC. Release date: June 17.
The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Multiplatform)
Square Enix's latest HD-2D title, launching June 18, is a top-down action RPG with time travel elements. It resembles the Mana series and Chrono Trigger. A demo is available across all platforms with progress carryover.

This indie game from TearyHand Studio, launching June 18, is a short point-and-click puzzle game with a mysterious narrative. It was nominated for a BAFTA and is available for under £5.
R-Type Tactics 1 • 2 Cosmos (Multiplatform)
A compilation of two turn-based strategy spin-offs, launching June 18. The second game, R-Type Tactics 2: Operation Bitter Chocolate, has never been released in the West before. Features updated graphics and online support.
EA Sports UFC 6 (PS5, Xbox Series X/S)
After a three-year hiatus, the latest UFC game arrives June 19. It introduces 30 new Flow States and improved physics, but microtransactions are expected. An Ultimate edition offers early access from June 12.
Dead Or Alive 6 Last Round (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC)
The definitive version of Dead Or Alive 6 launches June 25, with save data carryover and a free-to-play version. A new Dead Or Alive game is also in development for PS5.

A remake of Star Fox 64, launching June 25, with expanded story and multiplayer. It features realistic character designs and aims to revive the series after a 10-year hiatus.
Frog Sqwad (Xbox Series X/S, PC)
A co-op extraction puzzle-platformer from UK studio Panic Stations, launching in June via Xbox Game Pass. Up to eight players gather food for the Swamp King in physics-based chaos.
