The world's best afternoon tea is served in London, according to the 2026 La Liste Pastry Awards. Jacqueline at The Chancery Rosewood, a five-star hotel in Mayfair, won the World's Best Afternoon Tea Award, beating 3,000 top-tier pâtisseries, dessert restaurants and artisan bakeries worldwide. The award honors an 'exemplary afternoon tea experience, whether traditional or contemporary concept, with outstanding service and location'.
What makes Jacqueline's afternoon tea special?
The tearoom features its own tea sommelier, who guides guests through a tasting of different infusions. The setting is a luxury five-star hotel in Mayfair, meeting the location criteria for the award. Prices start at £105 per person for finger sandwiches, mini macarons and scones.
Other London winners at La Liste's awards
London also claimed other top prizes. Le Café by Nicolas Rouzaud received the Pastry & Bakery Opening of the Year Award, and Claridge's baker Richard Hart won the Bakery Innovation Award.
The La Liste Pastry Awards are held annually by the global restaurant and hotel guide, which also ranks the world's best restaurants.
