Michelin-Starred British Feast for £40: Uber Eats & Tommy Banks Collab
Tommy Banks' £40 Michelin-star British menu on Uber Eats

Londoners can now enjoy a three-course Michelin-starred dining experience delivered to their door for a remarkable £40, thanks to a groundbreaking new collaboration. Uber Eats has partnered with acclaimed chef and TV personality Tommy Banks to launch a special 'Best of British' menu, aiming to rewrite the narrative around UK cuisine and celebrate its rich, often overlooked, heritage.

A Culinary Mission: Redefining British Food

British food has faced relentless criticism online, particularly on platforms like TikTok, where it's frequently mocked for being bland, beige, and uninspired. This new initiative directly challenges those stereotypes. From December 2nd to 7th, 2025, Uber Eats will exclusively offer a six-dish menu curated by Banks, designed to showcase the creativity, history, and comfort at the heart of the nation's culinary story.

Tommy Banks, familiar to viewers from Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen, and This Morning, has crafted a lineup that journeys across the UK's regions and through its history. The menu is a deliberate celebration of forgotten favourites and nostalgic icons, all reimagined with Banks' signature inventive flair.

What's on the Menu? From Historic Pickles to Fusion Pies

The offering is a tour of British culinary history. It features dishes like the Welsh Glamorgan sausage, a vegetarian classic served in a tomato-bean stew, and 17th-century pickled beef, cured in salt brine for its distinctive pink colour.

In a playful fusion twist, the centrepiece is a Chicken Tikka Masala Pie, marrying Britain's beloved unofficial national dish with the humble pie, accompanied by pilau rice instead of traditional mash. Starters include an elevated venison faggot and a prawn and lobster cocktail inspired by 1970s dinner parties.

Vegetarians are catered for with a sophisticated Celeriac, Truffle and Tunworth Wellington, while dessert options pay homage to tradition with an autumn berry crumble or a boozy winter trifle. The experience even includes retro-style 'Salt & Shake' crisps and gourmet pub pork scratchings.

Access, Pricing, and National Rollout

The entire three-course experience is priced at just £40. The menu will tour three major UK cities, launching in London before moving to Manchester and Liverpool. Uber One members received 24-hour early access in each location.

Susan Anderson, Head of Delivery at Uber, stated the menu proves British cuisine is full of personality. Tommy Banks summed up the goal, saying the menu is about celebrating the flavours that shaped British food heritage and giving quirky, comforting dishes their deserved moment in the spotlight.
