Terry's has officially announced the return of its White Chocolate Orange, a limited-edition product that fans have been requesting since it was discontinued in 2022. The item, which will be priced at £2.50, is set to hit shelves this month, ahead of the Christmas season.
Fan Demand Drives Comeback
The White Chocolate Orange was first introduced in 2020 and quickly became a bestseller, with consumers describing it as the 'best chocolate orange ever' and 'amazing'. However, it was axed just two years later, prompting a flood of emails and social media posts from disappointed fans. One such message read: 'My girlfriend loves them. She's begging… bring them back. I'm begging, please Terry, find it in your heart.'
According to Terry's, the company has been 'inundated with requests' for the product, and the decision to bring it back was driven by this overwhelming demand. The White Chocolate Orange combines creamy white chocolate with Terry's signature orange oil, offering a twist on the classic milk chocolate version.
New XL Chocolate Orange Tablet
In addition to the White Chocolate Orange, Terry's is also launching an XL Chocolate Orange Tablet. This 330g milk chocolate bar, with a recommended retail price of £5, will be available in all major stores starting in September. The tablet is designed to cater to those looking for a larger format chocolate gift.
Mimi Williams, senior brand manager at Terry's Chocolate, told Metro: 'For many families, Christmas isn't complete without Terry's Chocolate, and in recent years we have been overwhelmed with people asking us to bring back the White Chocolate Orange, so we're delighted to make Christmas wishes come true. We also wanted to give our customers something completely new with our XL Chocolate Orange Tablet. Whether you're filling stockings or looking for the ultimate chocolate gift, we've got you covered.'
Other Festive Chocolate Launches
The return of the White Chocolate Orange is part of a broader wave of new Christmas 2026 chocolate products. Cadbury has unveiled new items including a Dairy Milk Smash Bauble and Cadbury Biscoff-filled Baubles, which are currently available on Cadbury Gifts and will soon be in supermarkets. Nestlé has introduced a new Milkybar Caramel Crunch, featuring caramel-flavoured white chocolate with crunchy biscuit pieces, and Toblerone has teamed up with Biscoff to launch Biscoff Toblerone Diamond Truffles, which combine Toblerone milk chocolate with a Biscoff centre.
These launches reflect the ongoing trend of festive chocolate innovation, with brands competing to offer unique seasonal treats. The White Chocolate Orange is already being spotted in some Co-op stores, and the XL Chocolate Orange Tablet will follow in September. Consumers can expect to see these items in retailers across the UK in the coming weeks.
