London’s food scene has been named the fourth best in the world by Time Out, but securing a table at top restaurants can be challenging. Taste of London, the city’s ‘greatest’ restaurant festival, offers a solution by bringing together over 130 dishes from the capital’s finest eateries in one location.
What is Taste of London?
Held annually since 2004, Taste of London transforms Regent’s Park into a foodie paradise. The festival features live cooking demonstrations, entertainment, bars, and a market with 160 artisan producers. This year’s event runs from June 17 to 21.
Dishes you have to try
For 2026, 26 ‘Taste Exclusives’ are available only at the festival. Highlights include ancho chilli-glazed braised wagyu taco from Sexy Fish, ume miso cod kushiyaki by Los Mochis, and Roti King’s XL Lamb Chops with aromatic spice mix and peanut sauce.
How to get tickets
General entry tickets cost £24, with dishes priced individually from £6 to £10 (exclusives £12-£14). Tasting tickets start at £39, including entry and two signature dishes. VIP packages offer fast-track entry, a private bar, and exclusive dishes. Sessions run daily from June 17-21.
What people say
Reviews are mixed: some call it the best food festival, while others find it overpriced. Attendees praise the atmosphere and discovery of new foods, but note that costs can add up. Metro’s food writer Courtney Pochin, a regular since 2018, says she always leaves with a new food obsession.
