Chocolate connoisseurs in the capital are in for a rare treat this weekend, as Swiss chocolatier Lindt unveils a strikingly exclusive new creation available solely in London.
A Japanese-Inspired Culinary Journey
Following the viral success of its Dubai-style bar, Lindt is now turning its craftsmanship towards Japan. The new offering is a matcha and strawberry chocolate bar, drawing inspiration from Japan's centuries-old tea ceremony traditions. The master chocolatiers have used ceremonial grade matcha to create an outer shell with a distinctive green hue.
Inside, the chocolate features a crunchy layer of roasted popped rice, which is perfectly complemented by a sweet, flowing strawberry filling. This innovative combination promises a complex mix of earthy, bitter, and fruity notes.
Extremely Limited Availability
The bar will make its debut at the Lindt flagship store on Piccadilly in London this Saturday, the 7th of December. However, securing one will be a challenge for even the most dedicated fans. Only 200 bars will be available for purchase on the launch day, priced at £15 each, with a strict limit of one bar per customer.
For those who miss out, Lindt UK has hinted at a special competition on its Instagram page where more bars may be won. Reflecting on the launch, Lindt Master Chocolatier Stefan Bruderer said: "We’re excited to continue our culinary journey, this time to Japan, and launch a new innovation that combines the finest Swiss chocolate craftsmanship with the secrets of traditional tea ceremonies."
A Capital-Exclusive Delicacy
This launch reinforces the trend of location-exclusive luxury food items, making the Lindt Piccadilly store a destination for limited-edition gastronomy. The strategy follows the brand's successful previous limited releases, creating a buzz that extends far beyond the shop floor and onto social media.
Chocolate lovers are advised to arrive early if they wish to experience this unique fusion of Swiss precision and Japanese flavour, available only in the heart of the UK's capital.
