Controversial Chef's Theatrical Comeback

Former ITV star Gino D’Acampo, 49, has made headlines once again during his international tour, this time for a risqué on-stage interaction that left audience members in Canada both laughing and stunned. The incident occurred during his live cooking show, where he was seen sucking spaghetti directly from a female audience member's mouth.

The event is part of his new series, An Italian in Canada, which has seen warm receptions in both Montreal and Toronto. Despite being axed from ITV last year following multiple misconduct allegations, which he firmly denied, D’Acampo continues to maintain a loyal international fanbase.

A Night of Unforgettable Moments

Audience participation appears to be a key feature of D’Acampo's live shows, with guests frequently invited on stage. They are greeted with champagne and encouraged to take part in culinary challenges. The spaghetti incident was just one of several crude moments that characterised the evening.

At one point, a female fan reportedly slapped him on the shoulder after taking offence at his words. In another segment, he had several men turn their backs to the audience while whisking eggs, suggesting their arm movements looked suggestive.

Despite the controversial antics, the show concluded to roaring applause and cheers. D’Acampo declared 'I love you!' to the packed venue and even leapt off stage to hug one woman and shake hands with others before leaving.

Life After ITV and Looking Ahead

Following his very public exit from ITV, D’Acampo has significantly changed his life. He has relocated abroad and sold his £4.2 million mansion in Hertfordshire. Reports from The Sun indicated he was looking to move Down Under to launch multiple new projects.

He remains active on social media, where he shared a video montage from the Canadian shows, and continues to work on filming projects and promote his cookbooks. His Instagram caption read: 'Two fantastic live cooking shows in Montreal and Toronto… Grazie Canada, you guys rock ???… GDx'. The comments section was flooded with positive feedback from followers who had a great time and demanded more shows.

His departure from ITV was final, with the network stating it had 'no plans' to work with him again and removing his programmes, including repeats, from their schedule. This followed an ITV News investigation that spoke to dozens of people who described his alleged behaviour on sets as 'unacceptable', 'distressing', and 'horrendous'.

In his response to the allegations, D’Acampo stated he had 'never been made aware of these matters previously' and called them 'deeply upsetting'. He emphasised that he takes such matters extremely seriously.
