The predatory behaviour of Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) towards teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) in Coronation Street has escalated to a deeply disturbing new level, leaving viewers horrified.
A Web of Deception and Manipulation
Megan first began grooming Will when she was his sports coach in Hull. Her insidious control was so strong that when Will's family, Eva and Maggie, moved to Weatherfield to run the Rovers Return, he refused to go, insisting he needed Megan for his athletics training. Fooled by her act, the family even paid Megan to travel from Hull to continue his training, completely unaware of her true intentions.
Since embedding herself in the Driscoll family and the Weatherfield community, Megan's manipulation has only intensified. She has started a relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), coldly telling Will she is merely using him to secure a teaching job at Weatherfield High. This calculated move, and her passionate kisses with Daniel, have left Will consumed with jealousy, even as she deceitfully assures him he is the one she truly wants.

The storyline takes an even more sickening turn as Will celebrates his 16th birthday. Now over the age of consent, Megan is poised to exploit this legal milestone. While his family prepares a party in the back room of the Rovers, Will is secretly at the Chariot Square Hotel with Megan.
Actress Pauline McLynn, who plays Maggie, revealed the family's potential devastation, stating they would be "completely blindsided". She explained, "Megan is a consummate liar and manipulator... Because she looks so innocent and young herself, there's no way anyone is seeing anything glaring." McLynn warned that the eventual revelation will be "life-changing for everyone".
