Major New Food and Music Festival Announced for Hounslow This Spring

London's event calendar is set to expand significantly with the announcement of a major new food and music festival coming to Hounslow this spring. The Sound Bites festival will transform Syon Park in the Brentford area of Hounslow into a vibrant celebration of culinary excellence and musical entertainment over two spectacular days.

Festival Details and Location

The newly announced Sound Bites festival will take place at the picturesque Syon Park on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. This expansive green space in West London will serve as the perfect backdrop for what promises to be one of the season's most exciting cultural events. The festival represents a significant addition to London's spring entertainment offerings, bringing world-class food and music experiences to the Hounslow community and visitors from across the capital.

Musical Lineup and Entertainment

The festival boasts an impressive musical lineup curated by the experienced team behind Taste of London and Big Feastival. Friday night will feature electrifying DJ sets from legendary electronic music act Faithless and Sister Bliss, alongside performances by television personality Denise Van Outen, Leigh Francis' Record Club, and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore.

Saturday's entertainment shifts gears with live performances from The Hoosiers and Ricky Wilson, supported by special guests including Gary Stringer from rock band Reef, Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton, and Simon Flower of Ocean Colour Scene. Festival organizers have confirmed that additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks, promising an even more diverse musical experience for attendees.

Culinary Experiences and Dining Options

Beyond the musical performances, Sound Bites will offer exceptional culinary experiences throughout the festival grounds. Guests can expect:

  • Live fire cooking demonstrations featuring expert chefs
  • Pop-up restaurants serving Michelin-level Indian cuisine
  • Traditional British pub-style classics
  • Innovative street food offerings from various vendors

The festival will also feature multiple bars offering everything from craft beers to sophisticated cocktails and non-alcoholic alternatives, ensuring all guests can find refreshments to suit their preferences.

Charity Partnership and Special Features

Sound Bites has established a meaningful partnership with Children with Cancer UK, with at least £10 from every ticket sold being directly donated to support the charity's vital work. This philanthropic element adds significant purpose to the festival experience.

A special Heroes Stage will provide a unique platform where children affected by childhood cancer will have the opportunity to interview celebrity guests from various fields including sports, television, and literature. Marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe is among the confirmed guests for these special interviews.

Organizer's Vision and Ticket Information

Chris Hughes, co-founder of Sound Bites, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: "Syon Park represents an incredible venue to launch our new era of food and music celebrations. Supporting a fantastic charity like Children with Cancer UK makes this initiative particularly special. Sound Bites builds upon everything we've achieved creating some of the UK's largest food and music events while introducing innovative ways to celebrate and explore exceptional culinary experiences with friends and family."

Tickets are now available with prices ranging from £55 to £310 for general admission. Special pricing applies for younger guests, with entry for children aged six to fifteen costing between £25 and £50 depending on ticket type. Children under five will be admitted free of charge, making this a family-friendly event accessible to all ages.
