BOXPARK Croydon is marking its 10th anniversary on Halloween (October 31) with a day-long birthday event that includes 1,000 free drinks, live entertainment, and family activities. The celebration at the food, drink, and entertainment venue next to East Croydon station begins at 11am and runs throughout the day.
Free drinks and family fun
From 3pm, visitors can claim a free draught pint, house wine, single spirit mixer, or soft drink on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. Alcoholic drinks are restricted to over-18s, with Challenge 25 in operation, and one free drink is available per person.
The event will feature resident DJs, a live band performing hits from the past decade, face painting, arts and crafts, and a magician. Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for the best outfits. As part of the venue's FanPark programme, visitors can take part in games including keepy-uppy challenges and other competitions ahead of the day's football action.
Sports screening and legacy
From 5.30pm, BOXPARK will screen the Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace match on its big screens. Since opening in 2016, BOXPARK Croydon has become one of south London's best-known entertainment destinations, serving more than seven million dishes from its street food traders, welcoming millions of visitors, and pouring more than 10 million drinks. It has also screened more than 2,500 sports matches.
The venue has hosted high-profile events including Stormzy's homecoming performance in 2017 and Fatboy Slim's appearance in 2022, alongside regular events such as Friday Feelings and Saturday Sessions.
Community celebration
A BOXPARK Croydon spokesperson said: “Ten years of BOXPARK Croydon is a huge milestone, and we’re really proud to have been part of the borough’s story for the past decade. From matchdays and live music to family celebrations, big nights out and everything in between, we’ve welcomed millions of guests through our doors and created a place where people can come together and make memories.”
“We’re excited to celebrate this special birthday with the Croydon community, and what better way to mark ten years than with a huge party, free drinks, live entertainment and plenty of BOXPARK fun.” The free drinks are available from 3pm on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event is open to all ages with family activities scheduled throughout the day.
