Coronation Street's Roy Cropper Faces Life-Threatening Fire in Cafe Blaze
In shocking Coronation Street developments, Roy Cropper's fate is left hanging in the balance next week when a deadly and deliberate fire is set at his beloved cafe, leaving the much-loved owner unconscious and trapped in the aftermath.
Roy's Health Struggles Precede the Blaze
The long-serving owner of Roy's Rolls, portrayed by David Neilson, is feeling under the weather in upcoming scenes. This prompts him to return home early from a bat-watching expedition. His mood further deteriorates when he discovers electrical issues at the cafe, forcing him to close for the day.
Roy informs employee Jodie Ramsey, played by Olivia Frances-Brown, that she can have the day off and go home. Once alone, the poorly cafe owner decides that some much-needed rest is what the doctor ordered and heads upstairs to sleep. Tragically, things take a dark turn from this point forward.

All three characters believe that Roy is still on his bat-watching expedition, completely unaware that he returned home unwell and is currently inside the burning building. In the flat, Roy lies unconscious with a blanket of fire surrounding him, creating a desperate race against time.
