Science Gallery London, one of the capital's most underrated art galleries, is set to close permanently next Friday, July 31. Since opening in 2018, the venue at London Bridge has been known for its innovative exhibitions blending art, science, and community voices.

Closure reflects institutional refocusing

Part of King's College London, the gallery's programme was shaped by researchers, artists, and young locals. Past exhibitions explored gender, dark matter, the future of food, and 'Frequency', an installation where students created sound pieces inspired by their biological rhythms. The gallery team stated the closure 'reflects King's College London's refocusing of institutional resources towards its education, research and innovation priorities.'
