Ruth Langsford reunites with ex Eamonn Holmes' son Niall at Wimbledon amid divorce
Ruth Langsford reunites with ex-stepson Niall at Wimbledon

Ruth Langsford enjoyed a heartwarming family reunion at Wimbledon on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, as she posed alongside her former stepson, Niall Holmes, despite her ongoing divorce from his father, Eamonn Holmes. The Loose Women star, 66, attended the Championships as a guest of Emirates, the tournament's official airline partner, and was all smiles in a bright lime green blazer. Niall, 32, opted for a smart navy shirt for the occasion, and the pair happily posed for photographs together, suggesting Ruth has remained close to Eamonn's eldest son even as her marriage ends.

Divorce Battle Heads to High Court

The former TV power couple announced their split in May 2024 after 27 years together, 14 of which were spent married. Ruth and Eamonn are now set to face off in an estimated £10 million divorce battle headed to the High Court. They have already attended hearings in June 2024 and February 2025, and both have reportedly hired top lawyers after failing to reach a financial settlement over their joint wealth. A source told The Sun: 'A lengthy court battle is the last thing the couple wanted, but they just can't agree. It's very sad but they are both prepared to fight for what they feel is rightfully theirs.'

Property and Family Ties

The couple jointly own a six-bedroom home in Weybridge, Surrey, which they bought 12 years ago for £3.6 million and is anticipated to have increased in value. The GB News presenter shares son Jack with Ruth, but also has three older children – Niall, Declan and Rebecca – from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes. A statement at the time of their split said: 'Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.'

Life After Separation

Since their separation, the pair have taken very different paths. Eamonn has moved on with new partner Katie Alexander, while Ruth has spoken candidly about adjusting to life on her own and rebuilding her confidence after the breakdown of her marriage. In her memoir Feeling Fabulous, Ruth admitted the early days after the split were incredibly difficult. 'The biggest emotion that threatened to swallow me up in the early days was sadness,' she wrote.

Family Bonds Remain Strong

Despite the divorce, Ruth's latest appearance suggests her relationship with Eamonn's children has remained intact. Earlier this month, Eamonn celebrated Father's Day by posting a rare family photograph alongside all four of his children. 'This is my Four,' he wrote on social media. 'Niall, Jack, Rebecca and Declan. Proud to have them as my Children and I can only hope I make them proud to have me as their Dad.' It has previously been reported that Eamonn's children sympathised with Ruth following the separation, making Wednesday's reunion appear all the more significant.
