YouTuber Faces Trespassing Investigation After Posting Dezi Freeman Hideout Footage

Police in Victoria are investigating a YouTuber for potential trespass offences after footage of the property where fugitive Dezi Freeman was shot dead last month was posted online. The videos, shared on The Chaos Chronicles channel, show the YouTuber, known as Biff, exploring the Thologolong property in north-east Victoria, including inside the shipping container where Freeman was living shortly before his death.

Details of the Online Footage

The footage includes scenes of the YouTuber being filmed by another man as they walk through the property where Freeman died on 30 March. It shows them pointing out bullet holes in an upturned boat, examining a rudimentary camp kitchen outside the shipping container, and venturing inside the container itself. Inside, items such as shirts on hangers, a hiking bag, a sleeping bag, a table, and a couch are visible among other detritus. Additional videos feature drone footage of the area.

One video, titled "I WENT TO DEZI FREEMANS LAST STAND HIDEOUT...THEY LIED TO US ALL !!", has been viewed almost 70,000 times since being posted online in the past week. The caption claims to reveal unseen footage and challenges the official narrative of Freeman's story.

Background on Dezi Freeman Case

Dezi Freeman's death came after a seven-month manhunt following an incident on 26 August 2025, where he killed two police officers and wounded a third in Porepunkah. Freeman, 56, had been on the run since then, with police conducting extensive operations, including a $1 million reward offer and a large-scale tactical search. He was shot dead by police on 30 March 2026 at the Thologolong property.

Police Response and Investigation

In a statement, Victoria police confirmed they are investigating a report of trespass at the property on Murray River Road in Thologolong on 16 April. "Investigators are aware of a video posted online in relation to the trespass and are investigating the circumstances. The investigation remains ongoing," the statement said. The property owner has reportedly been cleared of any wrongdoing by police and has not responded to requests for comment.

Aside from Freeman, the property had been vacant at the time he was found. Police are continuing to retrace his steps from Thologolong back to Porepunkah, approximately 100km south-west. The YouTuber has been contacted for comment but has not yet responded.
