While London's major festive attractions like Winter Wonderland draw the crowds, supermarket giant Tesco is bringing the Christmas market experience directly to local neighbourhoods. The retailer has announced it is launching a series of pop-up Christmas markets at its stores, with a significant focus on the capital.
A Capital Celebration
In a major boost for Londoners, 22 Tesco stores across the capital will be transformed into festive hubs. This is part of a wider national rollout of 165 markets happening throughout the UK. The markets are scheduled to run during November and December, offering a convenient and cost-free festive outing.
The opening hours for the markets are set for 11am to 7pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Shoppers who visit can expect to receive a special goodie bag and enjoy a range of complimentary samples.
What to Expect at the Markets
A Tesco spokesman encouraged locals to join in, stating: "Coming to more cities and towns than ever, our free Christmas Market is heading to a store near you. Join us for free food and drink samples plus festive inspiration to perfect your Christmas celebrations with family and friends."
The events will showcase a variety of well-known brands. Visitors can look forward to sampling products from a diverse range of companies, including Costa Coffee, Chocomel, Lindt, and Baileys, as well as items from Boursin, Harvey's, Pepsi, and Quality Street, among many others.
