Morrisons launches UK's first ready meals for Ozempic and Mounjaro users
Supermarket's first ready meals for weight loss jab users

In a UK supermarket first, Morrisons has announced a new line of ready meals specifically crafted for the millions of Britons using weight loss injections such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro.

What's in the new 'Small & Balanced' range?

The cornerstone of the new 53-product 'Applied Nutrition' range is a selection of seven meals called 'Small & Balanced'. These have been developed to provide nutrient-dense, controlled portions that align with the reduced appetites experienced by users of GLP-1 agonist medications.

The meals include familiar classics like spaghetti and meatballs, cottage pie, sweet chilli prawn noodles and chicken casserole. Each comes in a single-serve, microwaveable tray with prices starting from £3.75.

A response to changing consumer habits

With an estimated two million people in the UK now using GLP-1 drugs, which work by suppressing appetite and increasing fullness, supermarkets are adapting. Morrisons is positioning itself at the forefront of this trend.

Lizzy Massey, own brand director at Morrisons, stated: 'With more customers taking steps to improve their health and wellness, it feels like a natural step forward... The new range has been carefully designed... to help supplement customers’ nutrition while on their fitness and weight loss journeys.'

Beyond the core ready meals, the wider Applied Nutrition line will also feature pizzas, protein pasta, protein ice cream, cheeses, and convenient 'to-go' items like chicken fajita wraps and salads.

When and where can you buy them?

The entire Applied Nutrition range will be exclusive to Morrisons. Shoppers will be able to purchase the products both in-store and online from January 2, 2026.

This launch signifies a major shift in the food retail sector, directly catering to the specific dietary needs created by modern pharmaceutical weight management. It acknowledges that for those on these medications, standard portion sizes can be excessive, and targeted nutrition is key.
