London's largest indoor flea market is set to return this Bank Holiday Sunday, offering shoppers the chance to discover hidden treasures. The Giant London Flea Market, organized by Hackney Flea Market, will take over the ground floor of the multi-storey car park at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday, May 24, from 10am to 5pm.
What to Expect
Over 150 traders from across the UK will gather under one roof, selling a diverse range of items including vintage home decor, preloved bargains, Y2K fashion, curious oddities, and one-of-a-kind finds sourced from across the UK and Europe. The market promises something for every taste and budget, creating a vibrant, multi-generational atmosphere.
Convenient Services
For those interested in larger items, many traders offer delivery services at a later date. Videos on Hackney Flea Market's Instagram show creative ways customers transport their purchases, such as carrying a chair on one's head. Bringing an extra pair of hands is recommended for carrying finds.
Location and Amenities
The market is located next to Here East in East London, providing access to canalside bars and restaurants for refreshments after shopping.
History and Background
Mark Farhall founded Hackney Flea Market Ltd as a pop-up event in July 2013 in Stoke Newington's Church Street, aiming to offer affordable space for vintage sellers. Since then, it has grown into pop-ups across London, attracting a diverse mix of traders and customers.
