One of the capital's most celebrated pasta destinations is set to expand its footprint, with Padella confirming a brand new restaurant in the heart of Soho. The eagerly awaited third branch is scheduled to open its doors in spring 2026, marking a significant milestone a decade after the original launched near Borough Market.
A Coveted Soho Location for a London Favourite
The new 80-seater restaurant will be situated at 2 Kingly Street, taking over a space split across the ground floor and basement. The layout will also feature a private dining room accommodating up to eight guests. This move follows the runaway success of the first Padella in Borough and its second outpost in Shoreditch, cementing the brand's status as a go-to for exceptional, hand-rolled pasta.
The Legendary Pasta and the Team Behind It
Run by the same team behind Highbury's acclaimed Trullo – named London's best Italian restaurant by Time Out – Padella has earned its stellar reputation through dishes like its now-legendary pici cacio e pepe and pappardelle with beef shin ragù. The restaurant is famed for delivering note-perfect, well-priced pasta that continues to draw rave reviews years after its debut.
Owners' Vision for the Soho Venture
Speaking about the expansion, owners Tim Siadatan and Jordan Frieda expressed their long-held desire to bring Padella to Soho. "We have always felt the energy of Soho was a perfect fit for Padella, and we’ve spent a long time looking for the right space," they said. "Bringing our fresh pasta to Kingly Street is something we are both incredibly excited about, and we hope it becomes a place where people can drop in for a quick plate or settle in for a long evening."
The opening will further enrich Soho's vibrant culinary scene, offering locals and visitors alike another chance to experience the pasta that has consistently ranked Padella among London's best pasta restaurants.
