Drunken Women Trash Bournemouth Hotel Lobby in Rampage

Drunken Trio's Destructive Rampage at Bournemouth Hotel Lobby

Three intoxicated women unleashed a violent and destructive rampage at a hotel lobby in Bournemouth, forcing a receptionist to flee behind a locked door after being spat at during the alarming incident. The early morning chaos, which left the reception area severely trashed, was captured on CCTV footage, revealing the extent of the vandalism and aggression.

CCTV Footage Reveals Shocking Details of the Incident

The footage shows Jasmine Orchard, aged 21, Kera McKeown, 19, and Larisa Sumovskaja, 19, staggering into the Trouville Hotel shortly after 11am on April 19, 2025. What began as a seemingly normal Saturday morning quickly escalated into a scene of havoc as the trio targeted the hotel staff and property.

McKeown, described as the main aggressor during a recent court hearing, led the assault by throwing plant pots, pens, a computer mouse, and overturning a table. She reportedly spat at a receptionist multiple times, though she missed, and threatened another with a vodka bottle, shouting I will punch you.

Staff Forced to Take Refuge as Violence Erupts

As the women shouted abuse, the receptionist took refuge in a back room, only for McKeown, wearing a white dress and barefoot, to follow and bang on the door. The CCTV captures McKeown traipsing around barefoot, hurling items from the reception desk, including a phone that struck another receptionist on the shoulder.

Prosecutor Jason Spelman read a statement from one of the receptionists in court, detailing how Sumovskaja, in pink trainers, shouted accusations while holding a fire extinguisher, and McKeown falsely claimed inappropriate touching. The prosecutor noted the trio seemed to be quite enjoying themselves as they repeatedly entered and exited the lobby, watched by stunned staff and guests.

Legal Consequences and Prior Offences

McKeown and Sumovskaja admitted to criminal damage and using threatening or unlawful violence at Poole Magistrates’ Court. They are due to be sentenced in March, facing potential penalties for their roles in the rampage.

This hotel incident followed previous offences by Sumovskaja and Orchard, who had caused damage at Camel Bar in Bournemouth weeks earlier. They were banned from the bar after insulting the manager and spitting at security guards, resulting in a £600 compensation order.

Court Outcomes and Mitigating Factors

Orchard’s defence argued she played a minimal role, with her lawyer stating she was very little involved in any violence and remembered little due to intoxication. Magistrates accepted she did not cause criminal damage, giving her a 12-month conditional discharge for using threatening words and ordering her to pay £111 in costs.

Richard Ball, the chair of the bench, emphasised Orchard’s minimal involvement, while noting she was already on a community order for the prior bar incident. The case highlights the severe impact of alcohol-fuelled violence on hospitality workers and businesses in Bournemouth.
