Samantha Bartlett, Assistant Editor of Social News, took her son to the newly opened World of PAW Patrol at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. The £15 million immersive attraction spans 1.4 acres and is the UK's first dedicated PAW Patrol zone, designed for children aged 2 to 5. However, despite the excitement, excessive queue times were a major letdown.
What the World of PAW Patrol Offers
The zone occupies the former Mexicana area, including the Scorpion Express site, and features four family rides. Chase's Mountain Mission is a beginner-friendly rollercoaster. Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure is a spinning ride, the UK's first "Drifter" style attraction. Skye's Helicopter Heroes offers gentle airborne views. Marshall's Firetruck Rescue is an interactive ride. Rubble and Rocky's Playzone is a climbing area. There is also The Lookout Tower with a slide and meet-and-greets, plus Rescue Refreshments and a gift shop.
Weekday Visit Still Led to Long Queues
Bartlett visited on a weekday to avoid crowds, but queues exceeded an hour for several attractions. The wait for Skye's Helicopter Heroes was over an hour, exacerbated by empty seats on the 4-seater ride. She had to ask another pair to share. The Zoomer ride had an advertised 55-minute wait, but a breakdown extended it further. Chase's rollercoaster was out of service most of the day. Only Marshall's Firetruck Rescue had a 10-minute queue, and the play areas were manageable.
Bartlett noted, "It's a shame, because the new zone looks brilliant and has plenty to keep families entertained, yet the excessive queues are a real issue." She recommended arriving at opening time, as a friend who did so reported 35-minute waits. Fastrack passes cost £14 per person per ride.
Tips for Visiting
Despite the queues, Bartlett recommends the trip for PAW Patrol fans but advises arriving early and considering Fastrack passes. Chessington offers an Adult & Pre-Schooler Ticket for £25.38 (down from £29) for mid-week dates from 25 June to 1 September 2026, including access to the main park, zoo, and SEA LIFE. Parking is £16 on the day, but pre-booking online costs £12.
