The blast, which occurred yesterday evening, was reportedly heard as far as 11 miles away, rattling homes across the east Texas region near the Louisiana border.

Emergency Response and Safety Measures Activated

The alert stated, "To ensure the safety of all residents in the vicinity and in light of the recent explosion at the Valero refinery, an immediate shelter in place is ordered." This precautionary measure was implemented due to the ongoing fire at the facility, which produces approximately 380,000 barrels of fuel per day.
