The Powerball jackpot has soared to £444 million after rolling over for a 41st consecutive draw, offering UK players a chance to win the largest lottery prize ever seen in Britain.
Players have until 11:55pm on Saturday, August 8, to purchase a ticket from a National Lottery vendor or online. The current rollover is one of the longest in Powerball history, with the record standing at 47 consecutive draws.
Record-Breaking Potential
During the record-breaking run, a single winner took home £1.3 billion ($1.817 billion) in the US on Christmas Eve last year. If a British player were to win this jackpot, it would shatter the current UK lottery record, which was set when an anonymous EuroMillions winner banked £195 million in 2022.
This comes just weeks after the American lottery officially launched in the UK on July 23. Since then, nearly half a million prizes have been won, according to Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery.

Despite the absence of a billion-dollar winner for seven months, Powerball has continued to create millionaires across America. In 2026 alone, five jackpots have been won, with prizes ranging from $20 million to $250.8 million.

How to Play and Win
In the UK, Powerball tickets cost £4 per line, and players select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Draws take place three times a week from Florida. The jackpot is paid to UK winners over 30 years rather than as a single lump sum.
According to Allwyn, 491,662 winning tickets have been paid out so far, with prizes ranging from £8 to more than £70,000. The current jackpot is one of the largest in Powerball history, and the rollover streak is approaching the all-time record of 47 consecutive draws.
