Mickey Rourke Faces Eviction Over $60k Unpaid Rent After CBB Controversy
Mickey Rourke faces LA eviction over $60,000 rent

Hollywood star Mickey Rourke is reportedly on the brink of being evicted from his Los Angeles rental property, with court documents alleging he owes nearly $60,000 in unpaid rent. The 73-year-old actor, who caused a storm during his time on Celebrity Big Brother last year, was recently spotted with a dramatically new bald look outside the home in question.

Legal Action and Mounting Debts

According to a complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the plaintiff and property owner, Eric T. Goldie, states that Rourke failed to comply with a three-day notice to pay rent or vacate, which was served on December 18, 2025. The notice followed alleged non-payment of rent totalling $59,100 (approximately £43,900).

Rourke began leasing the three-bedroom house in the Beverly Grove neighbourhood in March 2025. His monthly rent initially stood at $5,200 before increasing to $7,000. The property itself has a notable literary history, having once been the home of famed crime novelist Raymond Chandler.

Goldie is now seeking not only the owed rent but also compensation for attorney's fees and damages, and has requested the 'forfeiture' of the rental agreement.

A Year of Controversy and a New Look

The financial and legal troubles come after a tumultuous year for the Oscar-nominated actor. His participation in the UK's Celebrity Big Brother in spring 2025 generated significant controversy. Ofcom reported that his episodes became the ninth-most complained-about TV show of the year.

Rourke was criticised for making homophobic remarks towards fellow contestant JoJo Siwa, sexually inappropriate comments directed at Ella Rae Wise, and threatening behaviour towards Chris Hughes. He was eventually removed from the show after repeated warnings. He later apologised, stating he had a 'short fuse' and was 'ashamed' of his behaviour.

Recently photographed collecting a food delivery, the actor, known for films like 9½ Weeks and Rumble Fish, was utterly unrecognisable with a shaved head, a stark change from his previous blonde and brown hairstyles.

Career Continues Amid Personal Struggles

Despite the personal and legal challenges, Rourke's professional career has remained active. He appeared in several films released in 2025, including Devil’s Play and the action thriller Jade and the Roaring Game. It was also announced last summer that he would star in the indie thriller Mascots.

Metro has contacted representatives for Mickey Rourke seeking comment on the eviction proceedings. The outcome of the court case will determine whether the actor is forced to leave the historic Los Angeles property.
