According to traffic monitoring site INRIX, two vans and a car were involved in the collision, though this has not yet been officially confirmed by National Highways. The crash occurred on the M4 Elevated Section into town at junction 2 (A4 Brentford), leading to approximately five miles of congestion.
An INRIX update stated: "Long delays and one lane blocked due to accident, a couple of vans and a car involved on M4 Elevated Section into town at J2 A4 (Brentford). Congestion to J4 (Heathrow). Queues outbound from the A4 in Chiswick, and from the A4 opposite at J2."
