Tony Diver, political editor at The Telegraph, reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Horseguards Parade had been evacuated by armed police, who cited a suspicious package in the vicinity. He also noted that the Cabinet War Rooms were evacuated due to unforeseen circumstances, and King Charles Street was closed to traffic.
Police advised the public not to enter St James' Park, according to The Mirror. The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further information and is expected to provide updates.
