Real Madrid are prepared to consider offers for midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, with Manchester United expressing interest in a summer transfer. The 26-year-old France international has been a key figure at the Santiago Bernabeu under newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho, who is open to selling him to facilitate a major midfield overhaul.
United's Midfield Rebuild
Manchester United are targeting multiple midfield reinforcements this summer following Casemiro's departure. A deal for Atalanta's Ederson is expected to be confirmed next month. However, their primary target, Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson, is anticipated to join Manchester City instead. Tchouameni has now emerged as a high-priority option, with United considering an ambitious move for the £70m-rated star.
According to reports, Real Madrid may accept around £70 million for Tchouameni should they decide to sell. The Spanish giants are looking to raise funds for a creative midfielder, with Enzo Fernandez as Mourinho's top target. Chelsea are demanding £120 million for the Argentina international, making a significant sale necessary to finance the deal.
Camavinga's Situation
Eduardo Camavinga is another candidate for departure, with both Mourinho and Madrid willing to let him go, as reported by The Athletic. However, sources close to the player describe an exit this summer as 'impossible.' If Camavinga cannot be moved on, selling Tchouameni will be considered. Fede Valverde, who was involved in a training ground altercation with Tchouameni last month, is not for sale.
United have also been monitoring West Ham United's Mateus Fernandes, valued at £80 million. The Hammers' asking price has deterred United, who now face competition from Tottenham Hotspur. Fernandes is reportedly open to a move to north London. United aim to sign at least two midfielders this summer, and potentially three if Manuel Ugarte also leaves the club.
