Gary Stevenson Takes on the Super-Rich in New Documentary
Gary Stevenson, a working-class lad who became a millionaire by his mid-20s, is now proposing a 2% annual tax on wealth above £10m in Channel 4's documentary How to Get Filthy Rich With Gary Stevenson. The show, airing at 9pm, sees Stevenson break down economics for audiences and campaign to close the wealth gap.
“If we don’t do anything about this system, very quickly the billionaires will own everything,” Stevenson warns. His proposal is met with skepticism from one super-rich interviewee, who calls it “absolute populist claptrap.”
