London Dominates European Pizza Rankings
Four London pizzerias have been recognized as the best in Europe at the 50 Top Pizza Europa 2026 Awards. Napoli on the Road claimed the top spot for the third consecutive year, while 50 Kalò ranked fourth. L'Antica Pizzeria secured 28th place, and Connie's Pizzeria came in at 48th, also earning a 'one to watch' award.
Napoli on the Road Takes First Place
Napoli on the Road, founded by Michele Pascarella, started as a food truck touring London's markets. It now has three locations in Chiswick, Richmond, and Soho. The pizzeria has maintained its top position since 2024.
50 Kalò Recognized for Excellence
50 Kalò, founded by pizza master Ciro Salvo, opened in Embankment in 2018. Salvo, a third-generation pizzamaker, has studied dough hydration. The restaurant has won multiple awards, including Top Italian Restaurants by Il Gambero Rosso International and Best Service 2020 from the Prosecco Doc Consortium. In an Instagram post, 50 Kalò stated, 'Being named the 4th Best Pizzeria in Europe is something we’re incredibly proud of.'
L'Antica Pizzeria and Connie's Pizzeria Also Honored
L'Antica Pizzeria, established five years ago in Hampstead by Luca de Vita and Alessandro Betti, is known for its 36-hour fermented dough and Neapolitan wood oven. Connie's Pizzeria in Peckham, founded by Andrea Asciuti of 081 Pizzeria, is famed for its 'Bri-talian' style crispy pizza.
Path to Global Recognition
The top 20 pizzerias automatically qualify for the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World. Napoli on the Road and 50 Kalò are now contenders for the global title, which will be announced on September 15 in Naples.
