Transport for London has confirmed that four public transport lines will face disruptions this weekend, May 9-10, with major closures on the Piccadilly line affecting Heathrow Airport access. Passengers are advised to plan alternative routes.
Piccadilly Line
On Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, there will be no service between Cockfosters and Heathrow Airport, including during Friday and Saturday Night Tube services, due to line upgrade works. Trains will skip busy interchanges such as Finsbury Park and King's Cross. Additionally, from May to early June, eastbound trains will not stop at Barons Court due to ongoing refurbishment work.
Passengers heading to Heathrow are advised to use the Elizabeth line, which will operate normally for most of the weekend. However, on Sunday, May 10, there will be no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7:45 am due to HS2 work.
District Line
From May to early June, eastbound trains will not stop at Barons Court due to ongoing refurbishment work, affecting both the District and Piccadilly lines.
London Overground
On Sunday, May 10, the Windrush line will see no service between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction, as well as between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, due to Network Rail maintenance work.
DLR
From Friday, May 8, to Saturday, May 9, there will be no service on the entire DLR network after 11:30 pm. On Sunday, May 10, no service will run between Tower Gateway and Shadwell due to track work and third-party works. Local bus routes are available as alternatives.
Elizabeth Line
On Sunday, May 10, no service will operate between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7:45 am due to HS2 work. The rest of the line will run normally during the weekend.
