London Victoria station will become home to the UK's first food hall inside a railway station when Market Place Food Hall opens on October 16, 2026. The new venue, located in the Victoria Place Shopping Centre, will seat 180 people and feature 10 independent international food traders.
Former clothing store transformed
The food hall occupies unit 16/16, previously a Dorothy Perkins clothing store. The retailer was acquired by Boohoo Group (now Debenhams Group) in 2021 after the collapse of the Arcadia Group, and the site had remained vacant since the store closed.
Market Place Food Hall will be the sixth venue in London for the brand, joining existing locations in Peckham, Harrow, St Paul's, Vauxhall and Leicester Square. It will be the first Market Place venue located within a UK station.
Dining and amenities
The venue will offer a range of cuisines, including Mexican tacos, Greek dishes from Hide and Greek, West African food from Jollof Mama, and Thai House. The full list of traders includes Argentinian Grill, Hide & Greek, Inamo Sukoshi, Jollof Mama, Limin, Made in Puglia, SABA, Streat Latin, Thai House and The Duck Shed.
Passengers will have access to a bar serving cocktails and craft beer, plus screens showing major sporting events. A live departure board will be installed so diners can monitor train times while eating.
Opening week offers
From October 16 to 26, the food hall will give away 50 free offers every day from 5pm, with each day's giveaway announced via Market Place Food Hall's social media channels. Over the first 11 days, guests will have 550 chances to win free items.
Holly Hilton, Marketing Director at Market Place Food Hall, said: "Victoria is one of the busiest stations in the country, so we wanted to create something that feels completely different from the usual train station food experience. We want to make grabbing a proper meal before your train just as quick and easy as standing in a queue to pay for a meal deal, but with 10 independent food traders, great drinks and a proper place to sit and enjoy it."
"And because we have the live departure screen inside the food hall, you can even sit back with a pint, keep an eye on your train and know exactly when it's time to head to the platform. It's about making the journey feel like part of the experience, rather than something you simply rush through."
Market Hall Victoria will operate daily from 11am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday, starting October 16.
