An insider has reiterated claims that multiple Resident Evil games and Pikmin 4 are heading to the Switch 2, following the latest Nintendo Direct that did not feature these titles.
Resident Evil Remakes Confirmed for Switch 2
Earlier this year, insider NateTheHate reported that Capcom is bringing the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 to the Switch 2. Despite their absence from the recent Nintendo Direct, NateTheHate has doubled down on the leaks. In response to questions on X, he stated, ‘They are coming to SW2 [Switch 2].’ When asked about a 2026 release, he added, ‘As of last plan, yes.’ The ports seem logical given that Resident Evil Requiem and the newly announced Resident Evil Veronica are already slated for Nintendo’s system.
Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition Still on Track
NateTheHate also previously claimed that a Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is in development and expected in 2026. After the Direct, he reaffirmed, ‘There’s still time for Pikmin 4 S2E this year.’ He noted that while the timeline was not set, he had confidence it would make 2026 back in March. NateTheHate has a strong track record, having accurately leaked the Star Fox revival and the Ocarina of Time remake.
Other Leaks: Ace Attorney and Crash Bandicoot
Following the Direct, leaker MajorPlayeix reiterated that a new Ace Attorney game is ‘deep in development’ at Capcom and likely to be announced this year. Meanwhile, leaker noarmsandnolegs claimed Crash Bandicoot will make a comeback, though details on the developer or genre remain unclear. Past rumors have pointed to a new Crash Team Racing title.
It remains to be seen whether Nintendo will hold another major Direct later this year to reveal release dates for titles like The Duskbloods and Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
