A woman in her 30s is fighting for her life after being struck by a lorry while riding an e-scooter near Hyde Park in West London. The incident occurred on Friday, May 1, at approximately 9am at the junction of Hyde Park Place.
Collision Details
Police were called to the scene following reports of a collision involving an e-scooter and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman, who had sustained life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Her next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the HGV, a man in his 50s, remained at the scene and was unharmed. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
Traffic Disruptions
The collision caused significant traffic diversions, extending all the way to Holland Park Avenue. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
