Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly targeting Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Munoz as a replacement for Djed Spence, who is set to join Inter Milan in a £30million deal. According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are among the clubs interested in the 30-year-old Colombian, who has been one of the Premier League's standout full-backs since arriving at Selhurst Park in 2024.
Spence's Departure Leaves Gap
Spence, 26, is poised to complete a move to the Italian giants after four years in north London, during which he made 85 appearances and won the Europa League. The England international, who impressed at the World Cup, posted a goodbye message to Tottenham fans on social media on August 15, 2026. Manager Roberto De Zerbi could not guarantee Spence regular minutes due to the presence of World Cup winner Pedro Porro on the right and new signing Andy Robertson on the left.
Spence's exit leaves De Zerbi with only Porro as a natural right-back, with young midfielder Archie Gray able to cover but not as an ideal solution. This may prompt Tottenham to enter the transfer market before deadline day.
Munoz's Impressive Record
Munoz has recorded 27 goal contributions in 108 appearances for Palace, earning player of the match in the 2025 FA Cup final when the Eagles beat Manchester City. He also played a key role in the Community Shield and Conference League triumphs last season. At the World Cup this summer, he scored twice and conceded just one goal in five games for Colombia.
The defender has two years remaining on his contract, and while Palace would prefer to keep him, reports suggest they value him at upwards of £20million. Munoz has previously expressed a desire to play for a club like Manchester United, but it is unclear whether he would trade Europa League football at Palace for no European competition at Spurs.

Everton are also said to be interested in Munoz and may make an offer if Palace signal they are open to a sale. Relations between the two clubs are good following the swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil. However, the Toffees have reservations because Munoz primarily plays as a wingback rather than the orthodox full-back that David Moyes prefers.
