With just four weeks left in the Premier League, the stakes are high at both ends of the table. The title race remains alive, European qualification battles intensify, and the relegation scrap tightens. Here are our predictions for Gameweek 35.
Friday 1st May
Leeds vs Burnley (8 pm)
Leeds have been trending upward but still face relegation risk. They have a golden chance to take a giant step toward safety when they host already-doomed Burnley. The Clarets have endured a miserable campaign, and coach Scott Parker's departure was confirmed Thursday. Mike Jackson takes interim charge, but this looks routine. Prediction: Leeds 3-0 Burnley.
Saturday 2nd May
Brentford vs West Ham (3 pm)
West Ham, in good form but still in the mire, start the weekend in the final safety spot, two points above 18th-placed Tottenham. They face a Brentford side still chasing Europa League qualification despite a poor home run—no win at the Gtech Community Stadium since January 7. Prediction: Brentford 2-1 West Ham.
Newcastle vs Brighton (3 pm)
Newcastle are troubled by concerns over Saudi funding, Eddie Howe's future, and key players. Despite four straight league defeats, they remain on the fringes of relegation and are unlikely to be dragged in. A win would end worries, but Brighton have won six of their last eight to climb to sixth. Newcastle haven't beaten Brighton since 2023. Prediction: Newcastle 2-2 Brighton.
Wolves vs Sunderland (3 pm)
Wolves are already relegated, while Sunderland's European push has faltered after defeats to Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. It's still a brilliant season for the Wearsiders, and facing a Championship-bound Wolves is a reminder of progress. Prediction: Wolves 2-1 Sunderland.
Arsenal vs Fulham (5.30 pm)
Arsenal face this game between two Champions League semi-final legs against Atletico Madrid. Fatigue is a concern after a highly charged first leg in Spain. Fulham played well against Aston Villa last weekend and could cause problems. Arsenal should edge it, but it won't be easy. Prediction: Arsenal 1-0 Fulham.
Sunday 3rd May
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace (2 pm)
Palace may rest players ahead of their Conference League semi-final against Shakhtar Donetsk. That plays into Bournemouth's hands as they start the weekend in seventh. Andoni Iraola is leaving at season's end but wants to secure European football. Prediction: Bournemouth 3-0 Crystal Palace.
Manchester United vs Liverpool (3.30 pm)
These north-west giants have 40 top-flight titles between them but neither is in the title race. Bragging rights are at stake. Both are likely to secure Champions League football, but Liverpool need one more win to be certain. The visitors will be without Mohamed Salah but still have enough to edge it. Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Liverpool.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham (7 pm)
Relegation-haunted Spurs visit Villa Park after their first league win of 2026 against Wolves. But wins for West Ham and Forest leave them in serious trouble. Villa still need points to ensure Champions League football. Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham.
Monday 4th May
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest (3 pm)
Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final win over Leeds lifted the gloom. Liam Rosenior is gone, and Calum McFarlane leads again. Chelsea target sixth place and hope for Champions League qualification. Forest are flying with successive wins and nine goals scored. They haven't lost a league game at Chelsea since 1998. Prediction: Chelsea 1-2 Nottingham Forest.
Everton vs Manchester City (8 pm)
Manchester City could be six points behind Arsenal by kick-off, with little room for error in their two games in hand. Pep Guardiola's men have looked imperious recently. Everton's European push has been hit by one win in five. Prediction: Everton 1-3 Manchester City.
