Is Olivia Bromley Leaving Emmerdale as Pregnant Dawn Takes on Joe Tate?
Olivia Bromley Emmerdale Exit: Pregnant Dawn vs Joe Tate

Dawn Taylor's future hangs in the balance in Emmerdale after husband-to-be Joe Tate uncovered the truth about her betrayal. The popular character, as viewers know, is in cahoots with Moira Dingle to take Joe for all that he has after she uncovered the depths of his treachery.

Joe Tate's Treachery Revealed

Home Farm businessman Joe was responsible for Moira's prison nightmare, blackmailing Robert Sugden into planting fake ID and passports on the farmer, which implicated her in a modern slavery operation, all in the name of getting his hands on Butler's Farm. In order to get Robert to agree, he used a recording he'd acquired of his sister Victoria killing murderous John Sugden in self-defence. Dawn was horrified to learn of Joe's true nature and thus she decided she'd help Moira, who was subsequently freed from captivity, get revenge on the schemer.

Dawn's Plan Unravels

But Joe uncovered the truth of his bride-to-be's double-crossing earlier this week, putting Dawn on borrowed time as she desperately tries to see through her plot to the very end before Joe retaliates. As she plans to up sticks and leave before Joe catches up to her, will this all end with Dawn's exit?

Is Dawn Star Olivia Bromley Leaving Emmerdale?

It was reported earlier in the year that Dawn will be leaving Emmerdale, which means the Joe Tate saga will prove to be her final storyline. A source told The Sun at the time: 'Olivia is adored by everyone at Emmerdale so the decision to axe her has not gone down well at all. She's a popular member of the cast and if they can get rid of Olivia then the feeling is virtually no-one is safe. Olivia understood their decision and is preparing to film her exit in the coming months.'

Following Joe's discovery of her betrayal, scenes this week see Dawn found unconscious at Home Farm in front when Graham Foster returns home. Fearing Joe pushed her down the stairs in the wake of her going behind his back, Graham scolds the Tate, but Joe is appalled that Graham thought him capable of such a thing, reiterating his true love for Dawn. The reason for her collapse was low iron and Joe subsequently confesses how scared he was at finding her out cold.

With Dawn pregnant with his child, he makes it clear that he couldn't be happier – and that he didn't really know what love was until Dawn came into his life. Dawn is taken aback by this new side to Joe and passion ensues once more. Has she decided to halt her revenge plans or is she simply throwing him off the scent?

Either way, we know that the character will still be leaving so we'll just have to wait and see how exactly this storyline crescendos. As is always the case with Emmerdale exits, expect plenty of twists and turns along the way!

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
