Metallica will perform two shows at London Stadium on Friday July 3 and Sunday July 5 as part of their M72 World Tour. The band, featuring James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, is holding a 'no repeat weekend' with different setlists and separate support acts for each date.

Set times and schedule

Doors open at 3:30pm on Friday July 3 and 3pm on Sunday July 5. Metallica's main set is expected to start around 8pm on Friday and 7:30pm on Sunday due to an earlier curfew. Support acts on Friday are Knocked Loose at 5:30pm and Gojira at 6:30pm. On Sunday, Avatar performs at 5pm followed by Pantera at 6pm.

Seating and stage layout

The London Stadium features a colossal doughnut stage with a snake pit in the middle of general admission. A seating map is available via Ticketmaster. The venue permits only A4-sized bags or smaller, with no bag drop. Banned items include large bags, glass bottles, umbrellas larger than pocket-sized, video cameras, professional cameras, tripods, pets (except service animals), aerosol cans, banners, laser pointers, noise makers, alcoholic beverages, weapons, explosives, spray paint, drugs, and clothing with vulgar slogans or high-visibility clothing.

Based on Metallica's previous 'no repeat weekender' in Dublin, according to Setlist.fm, Night One included songs such as 'Creeping Death', 'Harvester of Sorrow', 'King Nothing', '72 Seasons', 'Nothing Else Matters', 'Sad but True', 'Battery', 'Seek & Destroy', and 'Master of Puppets'. Night Two featured 'Whiplash', 'For Whom the Bell Tolls', 'Ride the Lightning', 'Lux Æterna', 'Fade to Black', 'The Unforgiven', 'Whiskey in the Jar', 'Blackened', 'Moth Into Flame', 'One', and 'Enter Sandman'. Setlists may vary for London.

Last-minute tickets

As of now, Ticketmaster offers limited resale two-day passes starting at £215. Resale sites like Stubhub and Viagogo also have options. According to Ed Cunningham, News and Features Editor, the London dates are extra special due to the 'no repeat weekend' concept.
