Liverpool Injury Boost: Gakpo & Bradley in Contention for Wolves Clash
Liverpool's Gakpo and Bradley could return vs Wolves

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has delivered a timely fitness boost ahead of his side's Premier League encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday, revealing that both Cody Gakpo and Conor Bradley could be in line for a return.

Injury Latest Ahead of Anfield Fixture

The Reds host Wolves at Anfield this weekend, aiming to extend their recent revival which has seen them secure back-to-back league victories for the first time since September. The potential availability of two key squad members provides a significant lift.

Cody Gakpo has been sidelined for Liverpool's last three matches after sustaining a muscle injury during the dramatic 3-3 draw with Leeds United on December 6.

Meanwhile, young defender Conor Bradley was forced off at half-time during last Saturday's crucial 2-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Slot's Cautious Assessment on Fitness

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Slot offered a detailed but cautious update on the pair's condition. "Conor will be 50-50," the Dutch coach stated. "He's not training with us today, not tomorrow. So Friday we will see exactly where he is, if he can be in the squad yes or no for the weekend."

He placed Gakpo in a similar category, noting, "Cody, a bit similar to Conor." However, the news was less positive for two other players, with Slot confirming that Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo will not be available for selection against Wolves.

Managing the Squad's Workload

Slot also touched upon the physical demands on his squad, singling out summer signing Florian Wirtz as an example of a player who has carried a heavy load. "Another example of a player who has to play a lot," Slot said. "He's adjusting better and better and better to the Premier League but in an ideal world maybe I could have rested him a little bit more. But OK, he will be there for us again on Saturday."

The return of Gakpo would offer Liverpool valuable attacking options, while Bradley's potential availability provides cover and competition at right-back. Their involvement could prove pivotal as Liverpool look to maintain their winning momentum in the Premier League.
