Lisa Riley Updates Fans After Horrendous Wrist Injury

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has provided an update after suffering a severe wrist injury at home. The actress, known for playing Mandy Dingle, appeared as a guest panellist on Loose Women last week, sporting a cast on her wrist. She revealed that she slipped off a stool five weeks ago and required surgery after landing badly on her hand.

Recovery and Treatment

During her Loose Women appearance, Riley disclosed that she has an upcoming appointment to have her cast removed. She described the wound as resembling a dog bite and noted that she will need rehabilitation and physiotherapy moving forward. 'It's been horrendous, I still can't move anything,' she said.

Travel and Work

Despite the injury, Riley was able to travel to New York just four days after surgery, thanks to an expandable cast. She also confirmed that Emmerdale writers have incorporated her cast into the storyline. 'They've had to write it into Emmerdale as well. I don't drink anymore, but Mandy Dingle will have had a few too many Proseccos!' she joked.
