Bournemouth's Junior Kroupi Cleared for Arsenal Clash After Injury Scare
Kroupi Fit for Arsenal vs Bournemouth Premier League Match

Bournemouth's promising young striker Junior Kroupi is set to feature in Saturday's Premier League encounter against Arsenal after overcoming a minor injury sustained over the international break. The 19-year-old forward, who has netted nine league goals in an impressive debut season with the Cherries, was forced to withdraw from the France Under-21 squad due to physical discomfort ahead of their match against Luxembourg.

Manager Confirms Key Players' Recovery

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola provided positive updates during Friday's pre-match press conference, confirming that both Kroupi and defender Alex Jimenez have fully recovered from their respective knocks. "Junior Kroupi and Alex Jimenez came from their international teams with some niggles and it was more precautionary," Iraola explained. "They have had some rest, also with us, and fully recovered for tomorrow."

Injury List Updates and Returning Players

While Kroupi and Jimenez return to availability, Bournemouth will be without midfielder Lewis Cook and winger Justin Kluivert for the crucial match against the Gunners. However, Iraola revealed that three players have made significant progress in their recovery journeys.

Tyler Adams, Ben Gannon-Doak, and Julio Soler have all returned to first-team training following the international break. "In the cases of Tyler, of Ben Gannon-Doak, they have used this break to put themselves in contention and I think we are in a good place," the manager stated.

Kluivert's World Cup Ambitions and Recovery Timeline

Regarding Justin Kluivert's situation, Iraola provided detailed insight into the Dutch winger's rehabilitation process. "Justin Kluivert is doing a very good recovery. He had surgery, he's on the time margins that we expected," the manager revealed. "Everything is going in a rush, he wants to play before the season ends because he wants to keep his options for the World Cup alive."

Iraola emphasized the need for caution despite Kluivert's eagerness to return: "He's doing really well but we cannot do stupid things. We have to give the time that everybody needs. We hope that he can play before the season ends."

Squad Depth Creates Selection Dilemma

With multiple players returning to fitness, Iraola faces the pleasant problem of having a nearly complete squad at his disposal. "I will even have to make difficult decisions because we will be more than 20 ready to travel," he acknowledged, highlighting the increased competition for places ahead of the Arsenal match.

The manager noted that while most players are now available, some may have limited match fitness. "There are some cases, especially Julio Soler, who is not ready to play a lot of minutes, but is training with the group and I think he is recovered," Iraola clarified.

Regarding Lewis Cook's extended absence, the manager admitted: "Lewis Cook is maybe taking more time than we expected and he's not there yet." Despite these absences, Bournemouth approaches the Arsenal fixture with renewed optimism thanks to Kroupi's timely recovery and the return of several key players to training.
