He also plans to meet Barcelona sporting director Deco in the coming days to explore a potential transfer.

Chelsea can salvage their season by winning the FA Cup this afternoon. The club is also closing in on appointing Xabi Alonso as their new head coach. However, the absence of European football could be a concern, with pundit Jamie Carragher suggesting key players may seek moves.
