Gemma Johnston (Tisha Merry) and Leah Barnes (Charlotte Alex Riley) are placed in grave danger in Hollyoaks next week when a knife is brandished during a confrontation at The Loft. The incident escalates quickly, with Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) and Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) stepping in to protect them.
Gemma's gangster past resurfaces
As viewers discovered earlier this month, Gemma is secretly a top-level gangster who has taken over Froggy Black's (John Middleton) criminal operation following his death. Balancing her work as a doctor at Dee Valley hospital with her illicit business, she has enlisted Jenson Cole to carry out her orders. Jenson, who has remained an enigmatic figure since his arrival, has been distracted by his nephew Sebastian Blake's (Teddie Williamson) leukaemia diagnosis and wants to support his brother Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) during this difficult time. However, Gemma insists he prioritise her demands.
Confrontation at The Loft
In the upcoming episodes, Gemma calls on Jenson again, instructing him to pose as her devoted boyfriend while she interrogates her heavies, suspecting one of them of betrayal. As Gemma questions the group, accusations quickly turn toward Jenson. The situation then takes a dramatic turn when a weapon is pulled out. Horrified, Jenson leaps to protect Gemma.
Meanwhile, Leah drags Prince to The Loft for drinks. Upon entering, they encounter the heavies fleeing the scene. One of the gangsters is still holding the knife, and Prince immediately moves to shield Leah. Later, Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) thanks Prince for looking after Leah.
What happens next?
The outcome for Gemma and Jenson remains uncertain, as does the fate of the fleeing heavies. Will they escape justice? Viewers will have to tune in to find out how the situation unfolds.
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4's streaming platform, with episodes airing on TV at 7pm on E4.
