Gordon Ramsay Nearly Vomits After Eating Band-Aid on MasterChef US
Gordon Ramsay Gags on Band-Aid in MasterChef US

Gordon Ramsay, the famously outspoken chef, has eaten many bizarre and disgusting foods over his four-decade career, including Sardinian maggot cheese and fermented shark that made him throw up. However, nothing could prepare him for the unexpected ingredient he encountered on a recent episode of MasterChef US.

The Shocking Discovery

In the new series MasterChef: Global Gauntlet, contestants were challenged to create stadium food representing their culture and heritage ahead of the World Cup. Contestant Nora, representing Team Africa, prepared a haddock and maakouda sandwich with chermoula mayo and Mediterranean salad. Unfortunately, the sandwich contained an unwelcome surprise: a Band-Aid, or plaster as it is known in the UK.

Judge Tiffany Derry was the first to notice the bandage, gasping and exclaiming, 'Oh my lord,' upon spotting the mistake. Gordon Ramsay, however, had already taken a bite and reacted far more dramatically. The Hell's Kitchen star immediately began gagging, visibly on the verge of vomiting, as Nora tried to apologize.

'We're eating Band-Aids now, what the f**k is going on?' he demanded.

How Did the Band-Aid Get There?

In a confessional, Nora explained the chaotic circumstances that led to the mishap. 'I am very overwhelmed. I'm running like a chicken with its head cut off. I'm running back to get tomatoes, then running back to get olives. My brain is not braining,' she said.

During the frantic cooking, Nora sliced her finger and received a Band-Aid from a medic. In the chaos, the original bandage came loose, and she replaced it with a fresh one. Unbeknownst to her, the original Band-Aid fell into the food and went unnoticed until Tiffany spotted it.

The Aftermath

Unsurprisingly, Nora was eliminated from the competition following the accident. 'I served a bandage to Gordon Ramsay, what do I expect? Beyond the bandage, I was not satisfied with how I executed the dish, but I'm still proud of myself,' she reflected.

The incident has sparked discussion among fans, with many sympathizing with Nora's stressful situation while acknowledging the seriousness of the mistake. Gordon Ramsay's reaction, though extreme, underscores the high standards expected in the MasterChef kitchen.
