Charity reveals the truth to Mack
A couple of days ago, Charity told Mack about her one-night stand with Ross, which resulted in her becoming pregnant with baby Leyla. She also revealed that Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) had blackmailed and sexually assaulted her. Mack has chosen to support Charity as she fights for justice, but focusing on that rather than his fury about Ross has become increasingly difficult.
Charity reports Dr Todd to police
In the June 29 episode, Charity reported Dr Todd's blackmail to DS Reid (Angela Londsale). The detective said the information was important but would be treated as a separate case. Charity was disheartened, wondering if coming forward was worth it. Later at the pub, she was shocked to see Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy), the woman she met at the lake last Tuesday. Serena had come to the village to find her distant cousin Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), who is away, so she is spending time with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). Charity panicked that Serena might reveal her secrets, but Serena promised to stay quiet.
Mack's suspicion and rage grow
When Mack arrived and learned Serena's connection to the Sugdens, he became convinced she couldn't be trusted because of her surname. Charity disagreed. Back at Jacobs Fold, Mack watched Ross take Moses out. Ross was cheery, unaware that Mack knows the truth. Charity tried to comfort Mack, but he pushed her away, saying, "I want to murder Ross now."
