It began at Hotten General Hospital but moved to the village when Caitlin moved in with Vanessa Woodfield. As she settled into Tug Ghyll, Caitlin began spinning a narrative about Jacob in front of a concerned Vanessa and Manpreet Sharma, suggesting Jacob is obsessed with her. Vanessa and Manpreet have been surprised by the claim but believe Caitlin due to her orchestrated situations or outright lies. Jacob has tried to prove Doctor Todd's bullying, but she is constantly a step ahead.
Doctor Todd's Darker Side
Caroline Harker has confirmed Doctor Todd is capable of much more. 'Wait and see,' she teased. 'She can go darker.' Doctor Todd's latest victim is Charity Dingle. The surgeon knows that baby Leyla isn't actually Jacob and Sarah Sugden's daughter and is using this secret to her advantage. She's decided to extort money from Charity in exchange for her silence. Caroline has been pondering who she would target next. 'If she gets the money and is living in her house and she gets a bit bored, she'll ask Manpreet round and she'll move on there,' the actress said.
Charity's Desperate Moves
Charity has tried her best to warn Vanessa off Doctor Todd, but her comments aren't swaying her. Actress Emma Atkins explained Charity's feelings: 'She's genuinely worried because she feels Todd's got an agenda... She's got a lot of love for Vanessa still.' Revealing that Charity would like to team up with Vanessa to bring Todd down, Emma shared that there's a big hurdle in her way. Charity cannot raise the funds herself, so she heads to see Kim Tate and offers her share of the Woolpack at a discounted price. Kim is intrigued, and Charity puts on a poker face, determined to keep the secret hidden.
While Vanessa has fallen for Doctor Todd, Caroline has confirmed heartbreak lies ahead. 'I think that she doesn't mean it genuinely in the first place... the desire to do dodgy things is stronger. Poor old Vanessa!' Caroline added: 'I think she's just scratching the surface about the Dingles... One thing at a time. But yeah, if she was there for long enough, ooh she could do some damage!'
