Actress Ali Mylon is making a surprise return to Emmerdale after nearly a decade away, but this time she will be playing a completely different character. The actress, who appeared in the ITV soap in 2017, has already begun filming her comeback, according to a post shared by her acting agency.
Mylon's first stint on Emmerdale saw her play an irate hotel guest who accused Eric Pollard (Chris Chittel) of spying on her while she was getting undressed. The misunderstanding arose after Eric accidentally placed some ladders next to her window.
Return confirmed by agency
The news was confirmed in a social media post by her acting agency, which wrote: "NEWS. Non stop client @alimylon is to make a return to @emmerdale. She begins filming this month."
Mylon's return adds to a string of recent comebacks in the Yorkshire village. Earlier this year, Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) returned from the dead, and Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) was announced to be making a comeback. Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower) also resurfaced after a six-month absence, alongside Elliot Windsor (Luca Hoyle), who made his first appearance since December 2024.
A different role this time
The twist in Mylon's return is that she will not be reprising her original role. Instead, she will be playing a totally different character, though details of the new part have not been revealed.
Beyond Emmerdale, Mylon has also appeared in Coronation Street and Peaky Blinders. She is also known for her stage work, including pantomime performances at Christmas. On Instagram, she often shares glimpses of her family life with her husband and two children.
Fans will have to wait and see what the new role entails, but her return is set to add another layer of drama to the Dales.
