In a devastating turn of events on Coronation Street, Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) makes the heartbreaking decision to end her relationship with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) next week. Convinced that staying with him would only lead to Kit throwing his life away for her, Sarah chooses to push him away despite her enduring love for him.
Sarah's Sacrifice Behind Bars
With Sarah currently behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), she faces not only her own uncertain future but also the weight of watching Kit risk everything to support her. During a prison visit, Sarah explains her decision to her brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), admitting that she ended things purely for Kit's sake. She insists her feelings haven't changed but believes the only way to stop him from sacrificing his career is to sever their ties.
The split leaves Kit devastated. Unable to hide his heartbreak, he turns to vodka and confides in others that Sarah has dumped him. His vulnerability does not go unnoticed, as Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) quickly spots an opportunity. He and Bethany agree that Harry should stay at the flat, while Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) offers to take him to Little Big Shotz so Bethany can enjoy a date with Roman.
