Fiz's Confrontation
Ross had earlier claimed he dropped Cassie at Manchester Piccadilly station, but Fiz noted inconsistencies in his story, including his surprise at Cassie's departure and his lie to Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) about taking her anywhere. Fiz warned Ross that if he puts a toe out of line, she will ensure he is cast out for good.
This confrontation follows Cassie's dramatic exit, which saw her accept a job on a cruise ship after her relationships with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Steve were destroyed. Her plan to drug Ross backfired when Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) ended up in hospital, leading to Cassie's rejection by her family.
Cassie's Desperate Exit
Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie, explained her character's mindset: "She feels she has absolutely no choice. She has been rejected by the love of her life, Steve, and everyone else has turned their backs on her. She feels her life there has been destroyed." Sweeney added, "The only option left is to take that job on the cruise ship."
However, Cassie's fate remains uncertain as she was last seen being driven off in Ross's car. Steve, lamenting his missed chance to make amends, confronted Ross in the Rovers Return, but Ross initially denied any involvement before admitting he dropped her at the station.
