Coronation Street and Emmerdale schedule changes: When to watch next
Coronation Street and Emmerdale schedule changes: Next air dates

If you’ve been enjoying your regular visits to Coronation Street and Emmerdale this week, there’s bad news: the ITV soaps are facing further schedule changes. As usual, the nation’s biggest soaps are moved around the TV schedule to accommodate football, and with the World Cup underway, fans can expect more disruption.

The football tournament kicked off on June 11, and coverage airs on ITV until July 19, causing major changes. This comes just months after both soaps adopted a new scheduling pattern, with evening episodes now only half an hour nightly, instead of three hour-long Corrie episodes and a weekly hour-long Emmerdale. The new pattern now faces serious disruption, but we’ve got you covered.

When is Coronation Street next on?

This week, we’ve had two hour-long Corrie episodes. However, due to England v Croatia on Wednesday and Switzerland v Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, there’s a break. Here’s the rest of the week:

  • Wednesday, June 17: No new episode
  • Thursday, June 18: No new episode
  • Friday, June 19: 8:30pm (half an hour)

If you can’t wait until evening, stream episodes from 7am on ITVX or YouTube. Things are tense as Maria Connor suspects Sarah Platt and Gary Windass of having an affair.

When is Emmerdale next on?

Like Corrie, two hour-long Emmerdales aired this week, but there’s a break before the next visit. Here’s when to tune in:

  • Wednesday, June 17: No new episode
  • Thursday, June 18: No new episode
  • Friday, June 19: 8pm (half an hour)

Episodes stream from 7am on YouTube and ITVX. This week has been emotional, with Cain Dingle told he might still have cancer, and Charity Dingle struggling after her sexual assault.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street air weeknights on ITV1 or stream first on ITVX and YouTube.
