Chelsea set asking prices for Jackson, Delap, Guiu

Chelsea have placed asking prices on a host of players they are willing to sell this summer, including forwards Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu, as new manager Xabi Alonso continues a major squad overhaul at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Athletic, the Blues want £65m for Jackson, who spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. The Senegal international, now 25, joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 for around £32m and has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the club. Aston Villa are tracking him, with Unai Emery – his former boss at Villarreal – now in charge at Villa Park.

Delap and Guiu also available

Liam Delap, 23, is another forward who could leave after a disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge. Used mainly as a substitute, he managed just two goals in 41 appearances across all competitions. Chelsea hope to make a profit on him, seeking more than the £30m they paid Ipswich Town last summer.

Marc Guiu, a 20-year-old Spanish striker, has failed to make an impact in the Premier League, scoring no goals in 11 top-flight appearances. However, he has impressed in European competition, netting seven times in 10 outings, mainly in the Europa Conference League. Chelsea want £25m for Guiu, with clubs in England and abroad reportedly interested in him and Delap.

Defensive departures expected

More outgoings are likely in defence. Trevoh Chalobah’s move to Como has already been agreed, while Benoit Badiashile reportedly carries a £30m price tag and Axel Disasi is valued at £25m.

Chelsea’s pre-season preparations continue on Wednesday when they face Juventus in Hong Kong.
